2014 BackPack Brigade

backpack 2 girl1 out of 5 children in Sarasota and Manatee counties are growing up below the poverty level. Kids in our community are facing countless obstacles; together we can help solve one of their challenges and support their education.

The Tiny Hands Foundation is introducing our newest initiative, the Back-to-School Backpack Brigade. In August 2014, we are attempting to provide at least 500 backpacks (our goal is 1000) filled with school supplies to our area’s neediest kids. We need your help, together we can reach this goal and more.

In order to launch this initiative, that will benefit at least 500 of our area’s neediest children, we are reaching out to the community for support. Our sponsorship opportunities:

Future Initiatives:

In years ahead, the Tiny Hands Foundation’s initiatives will move toward education and empowerment, as methods to assist low-income children and families in breaking through the cycle of poverty.
Our education and empowerment programs will focus on: developing self-esteem, positive relationships, role models, life skills, conflict resolution, and tolerance.
